Reminder For Clubs
Posted on: Thursday 10 November 2011

Ahead of this weekend's fixtures, clubs are reminded to show their support for the League's objection to proposed Council Cuts.

Simply print off letters, available here, for all your team and return them with your Match Card.

We need your support if local football is to be saved in Middlesbrough.

Please also note that registration forms and Match Cards must be delivered to Assistant Secretary Alan Hodgson, and not the League Secretary.

Council Budget Proposals
Posted on: Friday 4 November 2011

The League has been made aware of budget proposals made by Middlesbrough Borough Council, specifically those that directly affect member teams.

As a League, we are formulating a response and have a plan of action to express our thoughts towards these proposals.

In short, more than half of our 27 member clubs will be directly affected by these proposals.

Whilst we will have further information by the start of next week, the League would urge that all clubs are aware of the impending response and would ask everyone involved with the Langbaurgh Sunday League, from officials, to secretaries, to players, to be ready to support our plan of action.

Be sure to regularly check back for more information as to how you can help and the details surrounding the response of the Langbaurgh Sunday League.

Committee Meeting

Division One

Village Park Rangers and Roseberry Park played out a storming game, that ended up 3-3, with both sides having to settle for a point.

The Black Swan, who lost their goalkeeper moments before kick-off, overcame Marton Taxis 4-0.

Ormesby FC lead 5-0 with 20 minutes remaining against Dormans FIFC, before three late strikes saw the game end 5-3.

Park End, who ended the game with nine men after two second half dismissals, shared the spoils with newly-promoted The Cleveland in a 2-2 scoreline.

Division Two

Courtyard travelled Ormesby CTP and triumphed 3-0 in a game that was somewhat overshadowed by a leg-breaking injury to a visiting player.

Stockton Milehouse eased past Redcar FC (The Clarry) with a comfortable 7-0 victory.

A 75th minute equaliser for Middlebeck saw them secure a point against Riverside FC in an evenly-contested game that ended 2-2.

Marton Rovers came from a goal down to lead the game 2-1 courtesy of a Jonny Curwen brace, before Lakes United hit back to level, only for Roy Moffat to fire his side back in front, bagging the winner to secure a 3-2 win for Marton Rovers.

Lowe & Simpson Staircases overcame Marstons 5-2.

Division Three

The Tiger overcame Steel City 2-0 to record their first win of the season, courtesy of two brilliant goals from Daniel Brady.

FC Khans won 3-1 away at Piper FC, a win that sees them to within two points of the summit.
